Saturday, August 30, 2008In my opinion, the announcement made yesterday is less appropriate. This is how it should be: i) further increase the tax imposed on cigarettes and tobacco (this is to overcome the problem of rapidly growing amount of smokers in the country, for those smoker who knows me, please don't kill me) ii) revise or increase the rebate of infants on personal tax (with just a rebate of RM1,000 per year, how much it can help? RM1,000 divided by 365 days = RM2.73 per day? nasi ayam also cost more than that furthermore, who would only eat once a day?? not even me :D) iii) instead of giving free electricity supply to those whose monthly consumption is below RM20, imply a 20% or lower rebate for every user (electricity charges of RM20??? even a studio apartment also uses more than that i guess) iv) instead of giving a month bonus to the civil servants, use the money on other so-called 'developments' (even though we may or may not benefit from these 'developments', it is better to give the money to those lazy-asses whose already enjoying so much subsidizes, incentives and privileges and whose working attitude is so bad) v) instead of investing on building luxury or 5-stars hotels in east Malaysia, build more hospitals over the country or even better, schools vi) instead of reducing the road-tax for buses and taxis by merely RM20, give more subsidizes on their petrol, diesel or even natural gas (quarter tank of petrol also cost more than RM20 now) If only i have the power to do so. Maybe in the near future, we might enjoy these benefits (the near future i mean may be 100 years from now, so start counting down now :D) |
